Lopping back the trees
About Me
Lopping back the trees

I really like how shady our yard is, but I'm not so excited about cleaning up everything that drops off the trees. I can't pick the fruit from the very top of the trees, so it rots and falls to the ground, and then it attracts mice and birds unless I clean it up straight away. I'm getting the trees all lopped back so I can get a break from all the cleaning up all this fallen fruit. This blog is all about how to get your backyard fruit trees lopped so that you don't have to clean up as much fallen fruit.

4 Reasons to Remove the Dead and Damaged Trees in Your Property

Kenneth Kim

A home is never complete without a few trees in the yard, around the fence or along the driveway. Not only do they make your home look more attractive and valuable, but they also provide shade and fresh air to your home.

Unfortunately, trees may get affected by insects, diseases, soil erosion, weather elements and human activities, leaving them frail or dead. When this happens, it might be necessary to seek tree removal services.

The following are reasons why you should never delay having a dead tree removed.

1. The Branches Can Fall

Branches can easily fall when a tree is weak. To determine why the branches are falling, check for signs of rotting or bug infestation. Both are signs of an unhealthy tree. If the problem is widespread, the branches can start to fall on your neighbour's property, which can be a source of feuds. Therefore, you should look for a tree removal company to get rid of the dead or infected tree immediately to avoid such issues.

2. They Can Fall at Any Time

Not only can the branches fall off, but the tree itself could fall too. A dead tree cannot stand for long because the roots are weak. It is only a matter of time before the tree falls. Such a tree is risky as it can cause damage to your roof, windows, car, and power lines or injure those standing in its way. As such, you should seek emergency tree removal services as soon as you notice the problem.

Typically, a dead tree has brown and brittle branches. Moreover, it tends to have mushrooms or fungal growing around it and peeling bark. If you are not sure if your tree is dead, hire a tree inspection service.

3. Pests Love to Nest on Dead Trees

Pests nest on dead trees, and some even live in them. These pests include beetles, mosquitoes, wasps, bees and fly larva. Some homeowners are not bothered by this, but the situation can get out of hand when the tree is near your home. The insects may begin to enter your home, adding to your list of problems. For this reason, you should call a tree removal specialist to assess the situation.

4. They Make Your Home Look Unattractive

Dead trees are not only dangerous in your yard, but they also make your overall exterior look unpleasant. If you are in the process of selling your home, such a tree can make you lose potential buyers. In that case, it is best to get rid of the tree in order to get a quick and well-priced sale.

When you notice dead trees in your yard, it is prudent to have them removed immediately. Calling a professional tree removal service in good time protects your family and property from potential accidents.
